Stripping out Loom ready for paint shop
Also I fixed the rear deck with the deck from the parts car. I think it came out great!
When stripping out the cables from behind the dashboard a couple of areas were found to need some minor patching:
This is the seat pan repair, I cut the pans out of the 73 Targa and welded them in. And yes this was the first time I ever welded
I just sent it off to get painted, I should get it back in about 4 weeks and then start putting it back together.
The rear crosmember turned out to be rusted bad and have alot of body work done to it. So I cut it out of the parts car and the shop welded it in this week .
Here is the old rear crossmember as you can see there are only.four little dimples, instead of six. The new piece was welded in and looks much better.
I got a set of 16's but I think the 225s in the rear are to large and i will need to go to 205's maybe 215s we will see when the engine is in . The shop is going to spray it again next week, they have done it once but the silver piant did not lay down correctly so the shop had to get a special sealer to repaint it....
I pulled the engine from the parts car this past weekend and removed all the tin. I will repaint all that before pulling it in the car.
